Creating Text Fields
We're now going to create fields in an order form, in which the user can order a pet to be delivered to the front door. If you carried out the form creation tutorial, your form should contain a name field, a "choose your pet"-field and an address field.
Choose the text field tool and draw a rectangle that fits right into the "Full name"-field in my_form.pdf (don't forget you can zoom into the area of interest - this will save you a lot of headaches). Once you release the mouse button, the Text Field Properties dialog pops up:
- The General tab: Type "10 Name" in the Name field (we'll explain why later) and "Enter your full name" in the Tooltip field.
- The Appearance tab, set...
- Border Color: none
- Fill Color: none
- Font size: Auto (default)
- Font: Helvetica Bold
- Text Color: Black (default)
- The Options tab: Make sure Scroll long text is the only box with a check in it.
Click Close.
